Required Settings

Site Domain Setting (eg. example.com, example.co.uk)

Identify the primary domain of the site you want to track, without the www prefix. To track this domain and each subdomain separately, use the Visitor Tracking settings in Tag Builder.

Time Zone Setting

Select the time zone for your Webtrends data source, typically the same time zone as your web server. Webtrends uses the time zone to translate data time stamps to local time.

DCSID Setting

The unique ID associated with your Webtrends data source. Valid dcsids use the format dcsxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx_xxxx

Data collection server:

The Internet address of the Webtrends server that collects your web data.

Additional Options

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

Track the following

Event Tracking Setting
  • Track these domains as on-site:

Select each type of on-page click activity you want to track. Event tracking allows for complex reporting of how your web site customers interact with your site content.

Internationalization

Check this option if you will have double-byte characters in search phrases or other parameters. When this option is checked, profiles consuming the resulting data should have the encoding conversion enabled. (This option controls the "i18n" boolean property in the JavaScript.)

Ad Impressions

Other Setting

Create an ad view event whenever an inline ad is displayed on your web site. Enabling this setting allows you to track passive ad viewing on your site.

Visitor Tracking

By default, Webtrends tracks visitors using a first-party cookie, and uses the same cookie to track traffic across the primary domain and each subdomain. You can customize the way Webtrends handles cookie tracking for Webtrends Analytics using these settings.

Cross Domain Tracking

  • Only track visitors across these domains:

Select this option to enable cross domain visitor tracking without using third party cookies.

Enter a comma-separated list of domain names that you want to pass visitor IDs between. Links to these domains will have visitor information added to the URL query string. The visitor information is read when the destination page loads and is used to sync the visitor ID on both domains.

Data Mapping

Use these settings to specify how Webtrends collects non-Webtrends page data.
